Another Herbal First Aid Experience

X-Ceptic Extract

The Best Antiseptic I Know Of

My son is learning to ride his bike without training wheels. Yesterday he did it for the first time successfully without me holding on. As dad, watching my boy ride by himself is one of the coolest things ever.

Predictably, he also had is first crash yesterday. Nothing too serious, but a nice skinned up elbow. He cried a bit, then got right back up and rode some more. That’s my boy.

When we got back to the house to clean up the scrape I went to the trusty herbal first aid kit. To clean and disinfect the scrape I used Dr. Christopher’s X-ceptic Formula. It is a mix of White Oak Bark, Golden Seal Root, Myrrh Gum, Comfrey Root, Garlic Bulb and Cayenne Pepper. This extract is in a base of pure grain alcohol.

We’ve been using this formula for quite awhile in our house, and we’ve never had a single infection on any scrape, cut or wound. The one drawback that I have to warn about is that it stings like mad. The kids cry a lot when we put it on. But luckily the sting only lasts a few seconds, then the crying stops.

Comfrey Ointment

A Great Herbal Healer

After using the X-ceptic I next covered the scrape with Comfrey Ointment and put a bandaid on it. The Comfrey is wonderful for healing. It heals minor scrapes and cuts amazingly fast. ┬áIt’s pretty darn good at healing major injuries as well.

As always, share this information with everyone and let me know what you think in the comments section below.
